Jackson Heights Wonderland

Jackson Heights Dog Run Photo by Marcus Woollen

Another review of a wonderful dog run by Cody at Camp Bow wow LIC, Queens, NY 11101.

The residents of Jackson Heights will rejoice when they see this new dog run (located at 35th ave and 69th st, Queens, NY) in person. Once your dog “sets paw” on the brand new wood-chip-based play area he/she will be in heaven. The area is spacious, clean and new. Not only that, shade is prevalent in the hot summer months which will be a boon for hot dogs canines. Water bowls are always available, and I count no less than 8 benches for relaxing while your dog gets his “mojo” flowing. I like the tubes for the dogs, big enough for humans to walk through, yet too small for the inevitable 8′ stick your German Shepard is carrying around. Needless to say, your dog will have a good time. They won’t care about the traffic from the BQE (I-278) located directly above (which provides all the shade), however, they will appreciate the vast, smooth and utterly accessible grounds. There is a lack of hazards in this set of dog runs, and the space is level and free from overgrowth of any kind.

The best part about the dog run, it is only open to members that have vaccination records on file with the manager of the dog run. Anyone can join, it only costs $25 (not $20 as previously reported), and your good for a whole year. There is a lock on the gate ensuring that it stays a members only dog club. How cool is that?!
